Up to 5 years from now.
Will I get a confirmation after I schedule an email?
Yes. After you successfully schedule your note, we send a confirmation email right away.
What if my future email lands in spam or promotions?
Please mark our confirmation email as important/starred and add us to your safe senders list. That helps future delivery reliability.
Can I edit or cancel a scheduled email after I submit it?
Not right now. Once submitted, the note is queued for future delivery and cannot be edited or canceled.
Can I cancel my scheduled email or get it delivered early?
Generally no—scheduled emails are set for future delivery as submitted. If you really need to cancel or receive the email early, we can do it for a fee of $10 USD. Email gaurav@emailyourfutureself.com with your request and we’ll get back to you.
Can I schedule multiple emails to myself?
Yes, you can schedule as many notes as you want.
What is the maximum length of a note?
There is no visible character counter limit on the form. If a note is too large to save, we will show an error and ask you to shorten it.
What happens if saving fails or my connection drops while writing?
Your draft is saved locally in your browser while you type, so you can continue from where you left off in most cases.
Is my note encrypted? Who can read it?
Your note is encrypted before storage and then delivered to your inbox on the date you choose.
How long do you keep my data?
Scheduled notes are retained through delivery and for a limited period after that. We avoid keeping data longer than needed for reliable operation.
Do you sell or share my email address?
No. We do not sell your email address.
Which timezone is used for delivery?
Delivery is based on the calendar date you pick. The exact send time can vary during that date depending on processing windows and timezone differences.
Can I send to someone else, or only to myself?
The service is designed for writing to your future self, but you can schedule a note to any email address you control.
Can I attach files or images?
Not currently. We support text-based notes only.
Should I be concerned this service may not exist in a few years?
We rely on community support and voluntary contributions instead of ads to keep the service running and improving over time.
